The MCM-41 (Zeolites) is produced by the sol-gel chemistry using the modified Stober’s method. The MCM-41 has hexagonal arrangements of unidirectional and non-interactive pores (honeycomb-like design) with p6mm symmetry having particle size ranges from 100-1000nm. They are usually synthesized in the alkaline (pH 9-11) aqueous solution consisting of a cationic surfactant (structure directing agent) and the silica source TEOS (tetra ethyl orthosilicate).
The MCM41 offers a high surface area of ˃700m²/gm with a narrow pore size distribution (2-5 nm), pore volume of ˃0.5 cm³/gm, and good thermal stability of more than 700°C . It can be doped with multiple elements like Aluminum, titanium, Iron, etc to have vivid functions like- Cracking agent, residue hydrocracking, alkylation, olefin polymerization, dye removal, adsorbent (CO2 and CH4), removal of heavy metals, phosphate removal from the wastewater, in drug delivery/ bioimaging platforms.
We offer different types of MCM-41 for various applications like-
1- Al-MCM-41 for the high cracking activity, and dye removal.
2- Animated MCM-41-NH2 for the CO2 and CH4 removal/capture.
3- Thiolated MCM-41-SH for the removal of heavy metals like Zn, Pd, Ni, Fe, Cr, and V from the wastewater.
4- Bare MCM-41 for biological purposes as a smart drug delivery system for the transportation of drugs/proteins of interest.
5- Zr-MCM-41, zirconium doped mesoporous MCM-41 silica, for the catalytic dehydration of glycerol into ethanol, acrolein, and hydroxyacetone.
