“Dendritic”mesoporous silica nanoparticles (DMSNs) with central radial pore structures have attracted special interest due to their unconventional open pore structures, comparably large pore sizes, and uniform particle size. The porous nanoparticles show interesting features like the larger pore entrance than the overall pore size, very large pore size distribution (> 30 nm) and the uniform size with spherical morphology. The addition of oil or specific anions along with the cationic surfactant templates is the key to the formation of the nanoparticles with flower-like morphology
